Trump comes out of a nuclear deal with Iran

Trump said that the US will restore all sanctions related to Iran and introduce new ones.

As reported by the New York Times, Trump withdrew from a nuclear deal with Iran. The official announcement of the US decision is expected at 21:00 Moscow time. The decision must be made before May 12.

US President Donald Trump announced the US withdrawal from the nuclear deal with Iran. A live broadcast of his speech is conducted on the channel of the White House.

Trump added that Washington will resume sanctions against Tehran. According to his words , he has “indisputable evidence that Iran’s promises were lies.”

It is obvious to me that we can not prevent Iran from producing nuclear bombs on this ramshackle and fragile agreement.

This nuclear transaction is erroneous in its essence. We all know what will happen if we do nothing.

Donald Trump
President of the U.S.A

What is the essence of the nuclear deal with Iran?

Under the terms of the deal signed between Iran, France, Russia, Britain, Germany and the United States, if Iran does stop the development of nuclear weapons and if it is confirmed by international experts, the US refuses to sanction the country.

In America, the treaty has been ratified by Congress, but the president decides to renew it every 90 days or not.

This nuclear deal is based on lies. Iran did not show cleanliness with respect to its nuclear program

Binyamin Netanyahu
Prime Minister of Israel

United Kingdom:

We must correct the shortcomings in the deal, and one of the most important here is its expiration clause, which means that after 2025 Iran will quickly continue uranium enrichment programs that will lead to the creation of nuclear weapons, and no sanctions will help. We need to fix this. And the president is right that he drew attention to this. But it is impossible to throw out the child together with water, to break everything. Because if you do this, you will have to answer the question – what next? What if the Iranians rush for nuclear weapons? We seriously say that we are going to bomb these facilities in Korn, Ford and Natanz – is this a real possibility?

Boris Johnson
Minister for Foreign Affairs of Great Britain

We are determined to save this agreement

Jean-Yves Le Drian
Minister of Foreign Affairs of France

We believe that there is no compelling reason for withdrawing from this agreement. We need it and after May 12 we will strive for its observance

Haiko Maas
Minister of Foreign Affairs of Germany
