Putin withdrew from the Minister of Transport disciplinary punishment for “VIM-Avia”

He declared incomplete official correspondence to him.

Vladimir Putin withdrew his disciplinary punishment from Transport Minister Maxim Sokolov. The decree is published on the official Internet portal of legal information.

The text of the decree says that the decision was made in connection with the proposal of the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation. The document will come into force from the date of signing.

In September 2017, Putin announced incomplete official compliance with the Minister of Transport Sokolov in connection with the situation with the airline – VIM-Avia. Vice-premier Arkady Dvorkovich, who oversees transport, the president blamed that he paid insufficient attention to this industry.

“VIM-Avia” in October 2017 ceased flights because of financial problems. According to Rosaviation, the company’s accounts payable is about 10 billion rubles. The carrier’s operator certificate is suspended.

In September 2017, the Investigative Committee announced the initiation of a criminal case of fraud against employees of VIM-Avia. In December, the Moscow Basmanny Court in absentia arrested the co-owner of VIM-Avia Rashid Mursekayev and former financial director Alevtina Kalashnikova , they were declared international wanted. The Arbitration Court of Tatarstan on February 13 began bankruptcy proceedings against the company.
