Participant of the rally “He’s not our king” in Moscow complained about blocking his number “Beeline” for the time of the action

Updated: The company denied blocking numbers and promised to check the response of the support service about the request of law enforcement.

Blogger Denis Styazhkin, who participated on May 5 in Aleksei Navalny’s “He’s not Our Czar” action on Pushkin Square in Moscow, reported that the operator “Beeline” blocked his number for the time of the rally.

Turning in support of the operator, Styazhkin received an answer that the number was blocked at the request of law enforcement. According to the blogger, in the “Beeline” also said that at the time of the rally “the numbers were blocked for all subscribers in Moscow”.

The operator also stated that the number was blocked due to a violation of the contract for the provision of communication services, but Styazhkin called it an invention.  turned to Beeline for the comment, but did not receive an answer at the time the note was published.

Updated at 12:38: Beeline representative told that the company is checking the information. According to Varlamov.ru, Beeline did not block customers. The operator explained that during the mass events there are network overloads, what can explain the “blogger’s difficulties”. The company was also informed that they will check the answer of the support service.
