In the vicinity of the Latvian city of Cesis in a picturesque forest is a modern eco-settlement Amatciems. The village occupies 30,000 hectares of forest, which the millionaire Aivars Zvirbulis bought out. Here he built 300 houses in which his relatives, friends and just people with similar views on life live. Modern technologies and environmentally friendly building materials have become the hallmark of each house. There are special rules on the territory of the village, but nobody treats them as bans. There are no fences here, and wild animals walk freely along the streets and come close to houses.
