Scientists have shown an accessory for tactile feedback in virtual reality

Immersion in virtual reality today uses your eyes and ears to immerse yourself in a fictional world. There are developments of specialized devices that can affect other senses. For example, scientists at Stanford University have developed a device that transmits sensations from large objects in virtual reality.

ShapeShift is a wheeled system driver, equipped with a grid of pins, which are able to flexibly change their position. The device itself moves after the player’s hand.
