Russia plans to launch a new supersonic bomber-missile carrier

Kazan Aviation Plant plans in August to raise in the sky supersonic bomber-missile carrier Tu-22M3M, reportsRIA Novosti. It represents a new modification of the long-range multi-mode bomber-missile carrier Tu-22M3. Adopted in 1989, it is designed to defeat ground and sea targets from large, medium and small heights.

The Tu-22M3 has a huge potential for modernization, specialists are noted. It is claimed that these aircraft provide the superiority of Russian strategic aviation in the world.

So, the Tu-22M3 has advanced characteristics, moving at supersonic speed – 2,3 thousand km / h on the flight ceiling, reach a height of thirteen kilometers, cover a distance of six thousand kilometers, noted Senator Viktor Bondarev.
