As “Medialogy” has calculated, the coverage has significantly decreased.
“Medialogy” compared the number of views of Telegram-channels on the day of the beginning of the blocking on April 16 and a week after that. The research company analyzed 158 thousand active channels over the last 3 months and concluded that by April 23, their records were seen on average 76.5% less users than seven days before.
Telegram channels from the top 100 have lost only 23% of the audience. The most intense (falling from 30 to 50%) suffered entertainment channels, dedicated to music, humor, travel or hobbies. The company noted that the least affected news channels: they have dropped views by 25%.
The figures of socio-political and business channels fluctuated and on some days could exceed the views on the day of the beginning of the blockage. Among the main leaders on the growth of views were the channels Bablishko(about cashing and money laundering), the channel of the chief editor of the Echo of Moscow Alexei Venediktov and 338 (the channel allegedly led by Russian siloviki).
The data of “Medialogy” is confirmed by numbers in the service Tgstat.ru. According to him, in the last week the total coverage of the records of the most popular Telegram channels fell by 70% or more.
