Armenian government resigned

The decree was signed by the president, this was the result of ten-day protests.

Armenian President Armen Sargsyan signed a decree on the resignation of the government. Resignation occurred on the basis of Article 130 of the Constitution of the country. This was reported by the press service of the head of the republic.

Earlier, Prime Minister of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan, who was elected on April 17, also went into retirement and acknowledged the correctness of the inhabitants of the country, organize mass protests. “Peace, harmony and logic to our country,” he declared in his last speech.

Since April 13, mass protests have been held in Yerevan and several cities of the republic with the participation of thousands of people. After the resignation of Sargsyan, the residents of the capital began to prepare for a victorious rally and did not leave the streets.
