American coffee company Starbucks presented the result of production research, which has lasted since 2014 – milk foam for chilled coffee beverages. Unlike the classical additive to coffee, the new development does not heat the drink and is made from less fatty milk passing through the aeration.

Representatives of Starbucks noted that the innovation is not temporary and will become a full-fledged menu item. It can be added to any drink, an additional fee of about 50 cents (about 30 rubles). Cold milk foam will be available from April 19, in the first place – in American coffee shops of the company.

The development of the cooled milk caps was carried out against the background of the growing popularity of chilled coffee in the US: for several years this indicator was in the area of 35% of sales, and by 2018 accounted for half of all sales of Starbucks. The drop in popularity of hot coffee led to a general drop in sales of Starbucks for several financial quarters.
