Revenues from sales of iPhone X accounted for 35% of all profits in the smartphone market for the fourth fiscal quarter of 2017. Sales of the flagship Apple brought in five times more money than the income from smartphones more than 600 device manufacturers on Android. This follows from a study by Counterpoint Research.

The flagship Apple outperformed all Android manufacturers by three times. The iPhones occupied 8 out of 10 places in the list of the most profitable smartphones: the second place was iPhone 8, and the third iPhone 8 Plus, despite reports of their low demand in the market. Also in the top five hit the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus, and in the top ten were even 6, 6S and SE.

According to the study, Apple received 86% of the profits from the smartphone market in late 2017. Despite the fact that the total profit compared to the same period in 2016 fell by 1%, Tim Cook’s company managed to increase the profit by the same 1%.

According to the reports of Apple itself for the 4th quarter the company earned 52.6 billion dollars, of which 10.7 billion were profit and sold 46.7 million iPhones.
