The best games are named according to BAFTA. They got on the sale on Steam

The British Academy of Film and Television Arts summed up the results of 2017 and named the best games in various categories. The best game of the year was What Remains of Edith Finch, which bypassed The Legend of Zelda, Assassin’s Creed: Origins, Horizon Zero Dawn and other nominees.

The entire list of BAFTA laureates is as follows:

  • Game of the Year – What Remains of Edith Finch
  • Artistic achievement – Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice
  • Achievement in sound – Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice
  • The best British game – What Remains of Edith Finch
  • Best Debut – Gorogoa
  • The best evolving game – Overwatch
  • Best Family Game – Super Mario Odyssey
  • A game beyond entertainment – Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice
  • Best Game Design – Super Mario Odyssey
  • The most innovative game – The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
  • The best mobile game – Golf Clash
  • Best multiplayer – Divinity: Original Sin 2
  • Best music – Cuphead
  • The best narrative is Night in the Woods
  • The best original game – Horizon Zero Dawn
  • The best performer is Melina Jurgens as Senua from Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice

Many of these games, as well as nominees who did not appear on the winners list, got discounts at the Steam store. What Remains of Edith Finch, for example, is sold at a 30 percent discount, and Divinity: Original Sin 2 with a 15 percent discount.
