Yesterday, Google confirmed the rapid transfer of users of the mail service to a new interface. The design will gradually “roll” over the next few weeks. The Verge had the screenshots of the new interface, which meets the modern requirements of the Material Design concept for Google products.
In addition to the appearance, some postal service functions, already implemented in the mobile version of Gmail, will change. There will be “smart answers” for quick sending, pending viewing mode (the letter can be “hidden” until a certain time).
Also there will be a new sidebar for the “Calendar”, tasks and output of other information from other Google services. The interface will be presented in three viewing modes: compact, with and without attachment lighting. However, radical changes, as follows from the screenshots, will not appear.
