Russian ships left the base in Syria before the American missile strike

The Israeli company ImageSat International (ISI) has published satellite images of the Russian naval base in the vicinity of the Syrian city of Tartus. Usually there were nine ships in the port at the maximum capacity of the base in eleven vessels, but as of April 11, only one submarine of the class “Paltus” remained in place.

In a commentary on the April 11 photo, ISI specialists linked the departure of Russian ships to the sea with the upcoming US missile strike against Syria. When exactly this blow happens – it is unknown. On April 10, airlines received awarning that ships of the US Navy arriving in the Eastern Mediterranean would launch missiles within 72 hours.

On April 11, US President Donald Trump called on Russia to prepare for a missile attack on the territory of Syria and called the president of the Arab Republic Bashar Assad “a suicide bomber.”

The forthcoming attack by Americans using smart missiles became one of the factors that affected the fall of the Russian ruble after between 9 and 11 April. Ten minutes after Trump’s announcement, the dollar and euro rates were 65 and about 80.5 rubles, respectively. However, on the morning of April 12, they traded in the area of 62 and 76.5 rubles, respectively.
