Apple, somewhat belatedly with its next product – the HomePod column, has faced a low demand for the device and storage of warehouses. According to Bloomberg, the reasons are also in the relatively high price and limited in comparison with competitors, the capabilities of HomePod.
Initially it seemed that the Apple column would be a hit, as indicated by the volume of pre-orders. However, when HomePod got to the stores, the device was not so much in demand. A little later, HomePod accounted for only 10% of the market against 14% of Google Home and Amazon Echo (in the calculations take the US market). Then the situation worsened even more.
As a result, Apple lowered forecasts for sales, and also allegedly reduced the volume of orders from contract manufacturers.
