This hacking attack on popular music videos also touched Drake, Selena Gomez, Katy Perry, Taylor Swift and others.
Due to the hacker attack, dozens of popular music videos disappeared from the YouTube channel of the Vevo music platform. One of the first to remove the “clip was Despacito”, recently gained a record 5 billion views. In place of the video, when embedding on the site, a photograph of people wearing masks, orange overalls and weapons is shown.
Responsibility for the hacker attack was taken over by the hackers Prosox and Kuroi’sh, who wrote about it on Twitter.

“Just for fun, I use the script” youtube-change-title-video “and write” hacked “- do not judge me, I love YouTube”
A frame with masks and weapons was borrowed from the series “The Paper House”, where criminals tried to steal money from the mint of Spain.
As noted by The Verge, dozens of other videos on the Vevo platform have been changed, including clips by Drake, Selena Gomez, Katy Perry, Taylor Swift, DJ Snake and Shakira. Some of them have already been restored, but with errors in the title or reduced resolution. Google or YouTube has not yet given any comments.
The clip of Puerto Rican artist Luis Fonsi on the track “Despacito” was the first in the history of YouTube to gain 5 billion views. The song also beat a record of streaming services with 4.6 billion auditions on all platforms, overtaking even Justin Bieber’s “Sorry”.
