Developers Dota 2 from the company Valve announced the launch of mass genocide of cheaters in their game. Starting today, a permanent ban begins for players who have abused cheats (for example, scripts with auto-hexes), the official statement in Twitter says.
A wave of bans will be observed in the coming weeks. The first swallows and screenshots of banned records already appeared on Reddit.
Apparently, the bans are issued for a period of 10 years.
Today we issued a wave of permanent matchmaking bans to players who were found to be abusing cheats (e.g. auto-hex scripting). There will be subsequent ban waves in the coming weeks. We do not support or condone the use of any third-party modifications during matchmade games.
