Grateful residents of the Netherlands have preserved the memory of their liberators (2 photos)

5 years ago, a farmer living on the island of Marken, the Netherlands, found on his land a wreck of an aircraft from the Second World War. Arriving at the site experts have determined that the aircraft is English and extracted from it the bodies of two pilots. They were transferred to their homeland, where a solemn burial ceremony was held. The grateful residents of Marken decided to preserve the memory of the pilots who fought for the freedom of the Netherlands, and established a memorial to which the blade of that very aircraft was attached.
