Footballers from Kaliningrad have overcome 10 thousand kilometers for the match. But they played in a draw

For the away match with the Luch-Energia football club from Vladivostok, Kaliningrad’s Baltika players overcame 10,000 kilometers in about 12 hours. But the team could not succeed and the match ended with a score of 0: 0.

The clubs played a game within the framework of the National Football League championship, which is considered the second most important division in Russian football. ESPN columnist and sports journalist Michael Johin drew attention to this.

“The longest journey in the world happened today, when Baltika from Kaliningrad overcame 10 thousand kilometers to meet with Luch-Energia from Vladivostok in the second division in Russia. The game, of course, ended in a draw “

The team from Vladivostok remained in the FNL in 15th place and ahead of standing on the flight from the division “Tom” by only two points. “Baltika” came out on the 4th place with 50 points.

A similar case occurred in 2014, when the French team AS Tefana overcame 16 thousand kilometers for the sake of playing for the national cup with the team from Paris. They had to go for it, since AS Tefana is based on the territory of French Polynesia – the overseas part of the country, which is located on a remote island in the middle of the ocean.
