Two more Japanese crypto-exchanges stop their activities. According to Nikkei, the grounds of Mr. Exchange and Tokyo GateWay, which withdrew applications previously submitted to the State Agency of Financial Services (FSA) of Japan. The FSA was to issue a permit to provide crypto-exchange services in the country.
No official statements on the part of crypto-instruments have so far followed. It is noted that in early March, the FSA issued to both sites the requirements in which it demanded to resolve security issues. Attention to crypto-exchanges is increased after the incident with Coincheck – it was subjected to hacking, during which about half a billion dollars of site customers were stolen.
After that, the FSA began to actively check unregistered crypto-exchanges, 16 services were included in the agency’s field of vision. Earlier applications for registration were recalled by Raimu, bitExpress and Bit Station.
