On March 21, Namibian President Hage Geingob hosted a military parade in honor of Independence Day, being in the back of a modified UAZ Patriot car.
Journalists of the local agency Namibia Press Agency captured the passage of the machine by Gaingob past military installations. On the shots you can see that the car is equipped with a platform with handrails for the official receiving the ceremony.
The Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant presented the UAZ “Patriot” convertible in November 2017. From the usual version of the car, it differs not only in the absence of a roof, but also in two doors instead of four, as well as trimmed with a cream leather salon. The Namibian authorities became the first buyers of the new modification: they purchased three “ceremonial” cars, as well as several pick-up trucks based on UAZ Patriot. The price of the model is not disclosed.
