An unknown man fired and captured hostages in a supermarket in the French city of Treb, located near the border with Spain. About 140 police officers were transferred to the area of ​​a small town with a population of about 5.5 thousand people, Tass reported .


The exact number of attackers and victims is not reported. As reported by the AFP agency, one policeman was wounded in the shoot-out.

AFP also reported that the terrorist organization “Islamic State” took responsibility for the attack on the supermarket . This happened within half an hour after the start of the police special operation. Later, the agency specified that the shooter himself referred to the IG himself.
