IBM introduced the world’s smallest computer, which in size can be compared to a crystal of large salt. Production of one such computer costs 10 cents, and it is supposed to be used in the field of logistics. The device can be integrated into any object, making it “electronic”, in the future there will be an option that can be sent inside the body – when taking medication, for example.
The new IBM computer consists of a million transistors, has on board a power source, an analog of RAM, an LED light bulb and a photosensor.
As noted in the company, the computer is so small and cheap that it can be installed anywhere. The development will work on the detachment, which, among other things, will help to combat non-original products – computers will act as “crypto-corks”.
