London police, who previously believed the death of Nikolai Glushkov – a former business partner and friend of Boris Berezovsky’s suicide, came to the conclusion that it was a murder. Scotland Yard began the investigation, told The Guardian.
The investigation is supervised by the Police Department for Countering Terrorism, which led the case from the very beginning.
At this stage, there are no assumptions about the relationship of what happened to the events in Salisbury . There is also no evidence that he [Glushkov] was poisoned.
Glushkov, who left Russia in 2004, was found dead in his London home on March 12. The reasons for his death are still unclear. According to“Kommersant”, on the neck of the Russians found signs of strangulation.
In Russia, Glushkov was the general director of AvtoVAZ and deputy director of Aeroflot. In 2017, he was sentenced in absentia to eight years in prison for stealing 122 million dollars from the airline.
