The Belarusian JSC “NIIEVM” together with OOO “NPK Positron” from St. Petersburg develops a computer protected from cyber espionage VM2016. It is based on the Russian 4-core universal high-performance microprocessor “Elbrus-4S”, the State Military Industrial Committee of the Republic of Belarus reports .
The product is a laptop with a 17-inch monitor, designed for use in systems in which it is necessary to provide protection against unauthorized access to information and computer resources, as well as to prevent data leakage due to spurious electromagnetic emissions and interference.
The computer can be operated in conditions of temperature difference from minus 40 to plus 50 degrees. The case is made of aluminum alloy. Currently VM2016 is being tested. Serial release of the notebook is scheduled for the second half of 2018.
