69 days underground (16 photos)

33 Chilean miners were trapped in a mine at a depth of 700 m after the collapse and spent 69 days underground. While rescuers, including NASA specialists, tried to extract miners from the dam, they were connected through a small hole, through which food, water and letters from relatives were transmitted. In a secret way, one of the miners was given a camera with which he took pictures of people living underground with the hope of salvation, but without an absolute guarantee. After the rescue, many of the miners did not recover from the post-traumatic syndrome and could not adjust to life again.
