Google introduced a new processor – a 72-chip chip, which can become part of a universal quantum computer with quantum error correction. The technology can be used in quantum simulations, optimization and machine learning. In the future, Google will be able to sell similar processors or lease their computing power for rent.
Home users can not rely on the advent of quantum computers at their disposal – their work requires special equipment and conditions for functioning due to instability of qubits. In addition, the scope of their application is far from home in the form of games or surfing the Internet.
