The court refused five Russians who filed lawsuits against Apple because of the slowdown of the iPhone

The Tver court of Moscow returned five lawsuits to the applicants who sued Apple because of deliberate slowdown of the iPhone with old batteries. As the press service of the court informed , three lawsuits were returned on February 27, two more plaintiffs were given on February 19.

As the representative of the Tver court Svetlana Maksimova reported, the applicants were refused due to deficiencies in the documents, which they still did not eliminate. She did not disclose the essence of the mistakes in the statements.

At the end of December 2017, Apple admitted to slowing the iPhones, apologized to customers and offered to replace the batteries. On January 15, several Russians sued the company (the Apple Rus affiliate) for violating the law “On the Protection of Consumer Rights” and demanded compensation of several million rubles. On January 16, the Tverskoi Court of Moscow registered another lawsuit in this case for 777,777 rubles.
