Russian bobsledder Nadezhda Sergeeva, who took 12th place at the Olympics in Pyeongchang, was suspected of using dope. As said the president of Federation of Bobsleigh Russian Alexander Zubkov, in the doping sample athletes found an illegal drug.
According to Zubkov, on February 13, Sergeyeva passed a clean doping test, and the drug was found in a sample delivered in five days. He noted that the form of the drug is unknown. The athlete has not yet given any comments.
To date, I can not explain to you the situation. First, we’ll find out everything, and so it will be clear what actions will be.
At the Olympics, Sergeeva took the 12th place in bobsleigh “deuces” paired with Anastasia Kocherzhova.
Earlier, Curlingists Alexander Krushelnytsky and Anastasia Bryzgalova were deprived of the first in the history of Russian curling Olympic medals because of the doping found by the athlete.
