Blizzard released a patch for Warcraft III and announced a tournament for the oldies

Company Blizzard on the official forum announced the release of a large patch for Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne for the number 1.29, which added support for widescreen monitors and introduced balanced edits into the game. The patch is timed to the Warcraft III Invitational tournament, to which Blizzard invited many legendary players.

The tournament will be held from 27 to 28 February and will be broadcast on Twitch . It will encounter old men who received a direct invitation from the company to the tournament. Among the names: Grubby [Orc] from Holland, Happy [Undead] and HawK [Human] from Russia, ReMinD [Night Elf] from South Korea, MaDFroG [Undead] from Sweden and many others.

In patch 1.29, among other things, increased to 24 player limit, a new and improved list of maps, creating clans, updating the map editor. And not a word about a possible announcement of a new game or a remaster of the old one. Apparently, this is the whole surprise that the company secretly prepared for loyal players.
