“Three billboards on the border of Ebbing, Missouri” received five awards from the British Academy BAFTA

The authors of the drama “Three billboards on the border of Ebbing, Missouri” won five BAFTA statuettes: Best Picture, Best Actress (Francis McDormand), Best Original Screenplay, Best British Film and Best Supporting Actor (Sam Rockwell). The 71st award ceremony of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts was held on February 18th.

The record holder for the number of nominations – “Form of water” Guillermo del Toro, claimed 12 awards, won only three: the best director, scenery and soundtrack. The best actor was Gary Oldman for the role of Winston Churchill in the film “Dark Times”, and “Dislike” Andrei Zvyagintsev, nominated for the best film in a foreign language, could not win.
