On February 17, Japanese figure skater Yuzuru Khanu won the gold medal of the Olympic Games in Korean Pyeongchang.

After his performance on the ice flew from the stands of dozens of toy Winnie the Pooh. The same thing happened the day before, when Khanyu showed his short program.

Toy Winnie the Pooh – a constant talisman of the skater, which he leaves on the skirt in front of each of his rentals. The rest of the toys collected from the ice, he usually gives to children. This happened , for example, in October 2017 at the Moscow Grand Prix stage, when volunteers had to collect cubs for about five minutes. The collected toys were sent to Moscow children’s homes.

I will give all the toys to the people of Pyeongchang and Kannin. Some may find it strange that I give gifts, but in this way I express my gratitude to the fans for the kindness and energy that they give me.

Olympic champion in figure skating

The Pyeongchang medal is not the first Olympic gold in Khanyu’s career. He already became the Olympic champion during the Games in Sochi in 2014.
