In Tokyo, plan to build a skyscraper made of wood, which should be the tallest wooden building. The Japanese company Sumitomo Forestry Co will be engaged in construction, according to the idea in the tower there will be 70 floors, and its height will be 350 meters.

The new building will consist almost entirely of wood – steel in it will be 10%. On the balconies on all sides of the building plants will be planted to conserve biological diversity. The construction of the skyscraper will cost 600 billion yen (5.6 billion dollars).

The authorities of Japan have long advocated the advantages of wooden structures and in 2010 passed a law that obliges the use of wooden elements in all buildings in three floors and below, the Guardian noted .
