Yun Sung-bin, 23, a member of the South Korean skateleon team, became the first athlete in the history of the Olympics outside of Europe and North America to win the gold medal in skeleton. He overtook the Russian Nikita Tregubov and British Dom Parsons (Dom Parsons).
After the race, Yun went to reporters, but his comment after the historic arrival was extremely short.
I just want to turn off my phone and go to sleep.
The athlete, famous for his performances in a helmet similar to that of an Iron Man, won the race with a margin of more than a second. At the finish he arrived at a speed of about 125 kilometers per hour. As noted by Reuters, the Korean could not win only because of some accident.
