Russian figure skaters Ekaterina Bobrova and Dmitry Solovyov took second place in the team tournament at the Olympic Games in Pyeongchang, TASS reported .

In an arbitrary program, Bobrov and Soloviev scored 110.43 points and took third place. In the first place Canadians Tessa Virtue (Tessa Virtue) and Scott Moir (Scott Moir) – 118.10 points. The third place was taken by the Americans Maya and Alex Shibutani (Maya Shibutani and Alex Shibutani) – 112.01 points. The fourth and fifth places were taken by the Italian and Japanese couples.

The final table is as follows: Canada has 73 points in the first place, 66 in Russia, 62 in the third, 56 in Italy, 50 in Japan. 10 points for the first place, nine, for the third – eight, for the fourth – seven, for the fifth – six. The five best teams on the results of short programs will participate in free programs.

On February 11, Yevgeniya Medvedev set a world record in her first performance at the Winter Olympic Games in Pyeongchang. She won the short program of team competitions. The national team from Russia took second place following the results of short programs.
