Messenger Discord has blocked a group dedicated to the exchange created with FakeApp porn with celebrities

Representatives of the service explained that such videos are subject to the rule on prohibiting pornomnost.

After FakeApp became widely known in December 2017 for imposing in video clips of given faces onto pornactors’ faces with the help of neural networks, it began to gain popularity in services that give users the ability to connect with each other. The FakeApp-dedicated porn community also appeared in the Discord messenger (reminiscent of Slack), originally created for gamers, but reached more than 14 million users a day and went beyond just discussing games.

On one of these communities called deepfakes drew the attention of the publication Business Insider. In this community, as of January 25, 150 people were sitting, telling each other how to use FakeApp and sharing the results of the algorithm.

They had several chats: one was devoted to general discussions, in the other, users shared photos used to train the neural network, and in the third, ready-made porn movies with persons of famous actresses. The last chat even had its own rules: there it was possible to share videos only with those actresses who had already reached the age of 18, and it was also impossible to publish videos with faces of “lovers” – only porn with celebrities was allowed.

When Business Insider turned to Discord for a comment, the service representatives blocked the community and stated that, as it turned out, it violated the pornography rule, which prohibited the publication of pornographic materials without the permission of the people shot in them.

Pornography without consent causes instant blocking of servers as soon as we discover them, as well as permanent blocking of users. We studied these servers and immediately closed them.

The publication noted that the thematic community on Reddit continued its work, where users began to discuss locks on the Discord and were worried that the subreddit might be blocked. Reddit representatives did not respond to the publication request.
